I became a licensed Esthetician back in 2009 and spent a few years figuring out what I was truly passionate about. I’d always had an interest in makeup so once I graduated school I began freelancing my makeup services. In 2012 I started up with European Wax Center as a wax specialist and stayed with the company for 6 years. It was during that time that I found my niche and fell in love with waxing.
Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my husband, Matthew, and my two boys, Oliver and Jack. I am a Christian and love being involved with my local church.
Some hobbies of mine include baking, binge watching my shows, eating out, spending time with friends, and singing.
I decided to start The Prickly Pear Wax and Makeup Studio so that I could provide a better life for my family. I wanted to have more flexibility when it came to my schedule so that I could be there for my boys, I wanted to help my husband carry some of the financial weight we were feeling, but mostly I wanted to take a leap of faith and see what I could accomplish on my own. I’m both terrified and excited for what lies ahead I am so appreciative to everyone who supports this new business!
I believe my job is more than makeup and pulling hairs. Its about connecting with my clients, having fun, and making sure you feel better than when you first came in! I hope to see you soon at The Prickly Pear!
